Do you really want to know?!
Welcome to my desk - yes my actual desk has coffee stains (usually with the coffee cup still attached), and fountain pens, and I frequently get frustrated when I have to refill both.
My desk is much messier, however - see photo for proof - but that just mirrors my brain and life. Luckily, my husband, two boys, two dogs (one - Serendipitous or Seren for short, because she was absolutely Serendipitous - is lounging in the background of this picture) and a cat help make my life wonderfully messy, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
When I first purchased the domain that is my name, I felt very weird. You know that feeling like you are tooting your own horn, and no one wants to know about it but the people who have to because they live with you, and can't shut you up . . . that was it! Then, I remembered all the wonderful friends I have made via my fingers and my computer and MommyLoves, and thought, "If I put it out there, what like minds could I meet?!" There must be people out there in cyberspace who think and live like I do, people who actually put their kids first, not just go to work, stick them with some stranger or neighbor, and think that someone else raising their kids isn't going to have any impact on the kids' lives at all, people who worry about the therapy their kids will seek out because they were turning 12, and mom walked in on them in the bathroom and shrieked with pride when she saw the signs of puberty peaking out everywhere, people who just cannot walk by a chubby legged baby in a stroller without pinching and biting the toes (okay, I have since learned not to do that to any babies I don't know) and people who see the world through an entrepreneur's imagination. So, here it is, the site that bears my name, and beckons to those who might be friends.
Anything else you need to know about my past we can discuss over a cup of coffee and a couple of boxes of Kleenex (for both laughing and crying) one day when we meet over pixels, sound traveling through air or, if I'm really lucky, my brown irises looking into your (insert color) ones.
Thanks for visiting!
